Clearwater Springs Ranch

Staying at Kurt's and Tania's Clearwater Spring Ranch was just amazing, such a beautiful and peaceful place! They are super friendly and we felt welcome from the first moment on. The rooms are super cozy and the breakfast and dinner was exceptionell. It is also the perfect place to start exploring the nearby Wells Gray Provincial Park. Totally recommend this spot if you’re around Clearwater!

Amazing stay! Dinner and breakfast was plenty and tasty. Hosts are one of the nicest people we've met traveling. Rooms are spacious and bed supercomfy. Easy to explore Wells Gray park from here. Couldn't recommend this more !

Spent two nights with friends in lodge rooms and purchased suppers. Location is 5* both scenery and lodge is spectacular. Owners Tanya and Kurt provide exceptional service and are very friendly. Great potential for wildlife viewing as bears and other wildlife love the meadows around lodge. Will come back for sure. Price is very reasonable considering location and above average service

This is the perfect Canadian bnb experience with incredible Belgian hospitality at the core. My partner and I stayed over the weekend in January 2026. Tanya and Kurt could not have done more for us. The cabin is in the most beautiful setting and kept warm with a real wood fire. You can enjoy the outdoor views through the expansive windows from the warmth of the fire - use the binoculars or telescope for the full experience. It’s decorated beautifully with gorgeous pieces from their former life in Europe and some locally made pieces. The result is a vibrant, interesting space with plenty to explore. The amenities are wonderful, a downstairs games room, sauna, games and many nooks to read a book! They really care about sourcing their food and new items from the valley and Canada as much as they can which is a lovely touch. There is so much to do in Wells Gray even in the winter. A must visit! More than the setting and the food the hospitality of these two is second to none. From the hosting, to the food, to the advice for local exploration they are truly an inspiration. They intended to move over and just complete a single season of hosting but clearly found their calling and seem to delight in the experience. You couldn’t ask for anything more from this experience. It’s hard to believe they’ve ever done anything else! Thank you both and we will see you on a summer day soon!

Kurt and Tania were perfect hosts and so welcoming. We were the only guests for our 2 night stay. They were able to provide a delicious vegetarian main meal for us and the breakfasts with Kurt's home made brioche and cinnamon and raisin bread were very good. The Bear room was very comfortable with a huge bathroom with a claw-footed bath and a good shower. We had use of a fridge too. The view from the balcony was amazing and we watched hummingbirds while we ate. Kurt also spotted a black bear for us from his powerful scope. It was fun hearing about the yaks and getting tips on where to spot bears in the provincial park. Thank you for a memorable stay.

My husband and I spent a week at this B&B. Kurt and Tania did an amazing job meeting our needs and creating a wonderful atmosphere. Breakfast was delicious and the dinners and desserts were divine. The B&B is located in the middle of Wells Grey Provincial Park. They made sure we were aware of the water falls, flowers, lakes and restaurants that visitors needed to see. We traveled from Fort McMurray, Alberta to Clearwater, BC. Thanks for a great holiday.

What a fabulous time we had with the wonderful hosts Kurt and Tania. The red cedar building itself is stunning and set in glorious countryside, complete with yaks. Both bedrooms and communal areas are beautifully styled and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was gorgeous and plentiful. We also ate evening meals on two nights and they were very tasty (the fact that one of us was a vegetarian was no problem at all). We were given very helpful information about the Wells Gray Provincial Park (very close by). So much to see and great hiking to be done there. So, all in all, a great place to stay. It won 'best accommodation' and 'best food' in our holiday awards ceremony (!!) on our last night in Canada. Thanks so much for your welcome and kindness.
